Industrial Power Systems Sales Product Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Power Systems Sales Product Manager to join our growing team.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects for Power System Sales with an emphasis on driving sales growth within the Generac Industrial product line.

Your primary goal will be to lead the company to profitable and sustainable growth while ensuring customer satisfaction and promoting our brand as a leader in Industrial Power System Solutions.


  1. Sales Generation: 
  • Identify and target key sales channels to achieve revenue goals.  
  • Develop project and customer level strategies to win profitable business.  
  • Oversee and Train team members on quoting processes to ensure accurate and timely proposals.  
  • Present, educate, and train on Power System Solutions to customers, consulting engineers and employees.  
  • Oversee Project ordering to ensure accurate purchasing of technical solutions.  
  • Understand and analyze the competitive landscape.  
  1. Technical Expertise: 
  • Provide technical leadership to drive strategic solution decisions. 
  • Lead feasibility discussions to identify and manage technical risks and to define high-level architecture directions working with consulting engineers, contractors, and end users.  
  • Develop partnerships withing the consulting engineering community and become a leading resource for Power System Solutions.  
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and regulations. Effectively communicate their implications to customers and team members.  
  1. Customer Relationship Management: 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in customer organizations. 
  • Conduct regular customer visits, engaging in consultative selling, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor. 
  • Continuously monitor customer satisfaction, proactively addressing any concerns or issues to ensure a positive customer experience. 
  • Lead product backlog assessment and delivery accurate and consistent customer communication that will strengthen trust and relationships.  
  1. General Management: 
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the business, including sales targets, financial targets, and operational targets. 
  • Take ownership of improving and maintaining all product sales processes. 
  • Lead and coach a great team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their jobs effectively. 
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze financial reports, and make necessary adjustments to achieve financial targets. 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in Power Systems, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in technical sales. 
  • Strong knowledge of Power System products, their applications, and relevant industry standards. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, understand their needs, and propose appropriate solutions. 
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed. 
  • Proven experience in general management, including sales, operations, finance, and human resources. 
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills. 
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful business strategies.
