The Marketing Intern is a paid summer internship that will learn through completing marketing-related tasks that help build trust with customers, develop leads, and promote EMC’s products and services. They should be eager to learn new technical information and identify ways to grow sales through marketing efforts. This role reports to EMC’s Marketing Manager.

Once here, you will:

  1. Evaluate and improve online marketing and positioning
    • Review and understand SEO and other key metrics for EMC brands, including both standard industrial websites and ecommerce brands.
    • Recommend and implement changes to improve product positioning, website layouts, and similar adjustments.
    • Monitor and correct product details and practices, including technical specifications, online descriptions, and display formatting.
  2. Support sales efforts
    • Design lead generation collateral to support sales campaigns, including case studies, white papers, product brochures, and digital ads.
    • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to create assets that align with campaign goals and resonate with target audiences.
    • Optimize eCommerce content for user experience, SEO, and conversion, ensuring alignment with broader marketing and sales strategies.
  3. Manage multiple brand images
    • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints, including digital channels, print materials, and live events.
    • Develop and enforce brand guidelines, ensuring all marketing materials reflect EMC’s values, purpose, and positioning in the market.
  4. Collaborate cross-functionally:
    • Work closely with product, operations, sales, and customer service teams to align marketing efforts with EMC’s overall business strategy.
    • Maintain effective partnerships with external vendors, agencies, and content creators as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience or current study in marketing, especially in a B2B space
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong computer and technology skills, especially WordPress
  • Experience in industrial, electrical, or mechanical fields a plus
