Position Summary
The B2B Sales Specialist is responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting qualified business-to-business prospects within the industrial electrical sector, with a focus on electric motors, generators, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). This role drives outbound sales initiatives, develops a strong sales pipeline, and builds long-term relationships with industrial decision-makers by delivering consultative, solution-oriented sales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, research, and engage qualified B2B prospects within industrial markets, including manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, mining, water/wastewater, and commercial facilities.
- Execute targeted outbound sales strategies to generate qualified leads for electric motors, generators, and VFD solutions through cold outreach, email campaigns, and strategic follow-up.
- Develop, manage, and advance a structured sales pipeline from initial contact through qualification, proposal, and close.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with plant managers, maintenance managers, engineers, procurement professionals, and other key decision-makers.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify equipment challenges, efficiency opportunities, and replacement or upgrade requirements related to motors, generators, and VFD systems.
- Collaborate with marketing to refine industrial lead generation strategies, improve campaign targeting, and align messaging with market demands.
- Accurately document all sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunity stages within CRM systems to ensure visibility, forecasting accuracy, and timely follow-up.
- Monitor pipeline performance to prevent stalled opportunities and ensure consistent engagement throughout the sales cycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation within industrial, electrical, or mechanical markets.
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, including electric motors, generators, and/or variable frequency drives, or the ability to rapidly learn technical product applications.
- Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting and consultative sales.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical decision-makers.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales enablement tools.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented with strong time management skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience

What You’ll Do
- Tear down, inspect, and rewind AC/DC electric motors and electro-mechanical equipment
- Prep motors for rewind: strip, clean, burn out, and rebuild
- Wind coils, cut and form wire, and install insulation systems
- Run and operate shop equipment (winding machines, surge testers, ovens, grinders, etc.)
- Assist experienced winders and continue building your skillset
- Read job cards, follow specs, and hit quality standards every time
- Help test and troubleshoot finished motors
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Handle heavy components and get the job done right
