We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Systems Administrator to support and maintain infrastructure in a regulated environment. This role requires strong technical judgment, disciplined change management, and comfort working on-site with production systems.

This is a part-time, in-office position (15–20 hours per week) supporting a mixed Windows and Linux environment, virtualization, backups, and security controls. Ideal for a seasoned sysadmin who values stability, ownership, and well-defined processes over constant firefighting.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Windows Server environments (Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP)
  • Maintain and secure Linux servers
  • Manage VMware ESXi hosts and virtual infrastructure
  • Own backups, disaster recovery planning, and routine testing
  • Support containerized workloads (Docker; Kubernetes a plus)
  • Administer Microsoft 365 / Entra ID
  • Implement patching, monitoring, logging, and security controls
  • Support network infrastructure and coordinate with vendors
  • Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support
  • Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and audit-ready procedures

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of systems administration experience
  • Strong Windows Server and Active Directory expertise
  • Hands-on Linux administration experience
  • VMware ESXi experience
  • Solid security fundamentals and operational discipline
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
  • Comfortable working on-site and independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • CMMC, NIST, SOC 2, or similar compliance exposure
  • PowerShell and/or Bash scripting
  • Docker experience; Kubernetes or CI/CD exposure
  • SMB or multi-site IT experience
  • Relevant technical certifications

Why This Role

  • Guaranteed 15–20 hours per week
  • Fully on-site with consistent weekday scheduling
  • Direct ownership of systems and infrastructure
  • Clear change control, documentation, and expectations
  • Hands-on technical work in a stable, compliance-focused environment
  • A role that values experience, accountability, and good judgment

If you enjoy maintaining secure, well-documented systems in a regulated setting—and want a flexible schedule without sacrificing technical depth, we’d like to hear from you.

Apply to help keep our systems secure, compliant, and reliable.
