At EMC, we’re looking for an Experienced Electric Panel Builder to join our crew. We build tough, reliable control panels that power everything from factories to commercial buildings. If you know your way around a wiring diagram and get satisfaction from a job done right, you’ll fit right in here.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams like a pro
  • Build and wire electrical control panels, motor control centers, and power systems
  • Mount and install parts like circuit breakers, contactors, relays, PLCs, and more
  • Perform clean, safe, point-to-point wiring (no spaghetti wiring here!)
  • Test your work to make sure everything runs smooth, safe, and up to code
  • Troubleshoot wiring or component issues as they come up
  • Work side-by-side with our engineers and production teams to sort out any build hiccups
  • Keep your workbench clean and your workspace safe
  • Help with field installs from time to time (if you’re up for it)
  • Mark up drawings when changes happen – no guesswork left for the next guy

What You Bring to the Table:

Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Solid skills reading electrical schematics and layout drawings
  • You know your tools – crimpers, drills, wire strippers, etc.
  • Familiar with UL/NEC electrical standards
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs, stand all day, and handle repetitive tasks

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Tech school certificate or associate degree in electrical tech
  • 3–5 years of hands-on panel building or industrial electrical work
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, automation gear
  • UL 508A panel building experience
  • Used ERP/job tracking software before
