OTHER:
Any motor operated on Adjustable Speed Drives (ASD) is subject to potential premature bearing failures due to the increased shaft currents caused by common mode voltages inherent with operation on a non-sinusoidal power source. TIC recommends insulating both bearings on frame sizes 444T and larger due to the higher risk of bearing failure. Smaller motors are at risk as well and should be considered after review application and installation. Contact your local TIC representative for further details regarding Adjustable Speed Drives (ASD) applications.
