Energy Management Corporation (EMC) has an opening for an Electrical Power Generation Account Manager / Sales Specialist in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can be a problem solver and be a self-motivated member of the team.

Salary $65,000 to $80,000 Annually DOE

Responsibilities (Generac Industrial Account Management and Sales):

  • Generator take-offs including the interpretation of specifications and quotes.
  • Pot sale project management including submittal creation and approval, order entry/preparation, start-up coordination.
  • Schedule LNL’s and webinars with end users, contractors, and engineering firms.
  • Provide transfer switch recommendations and quotations with associated projects.
  • Have fun. Be positive. Get it done.

Job Requirements and Necessary Skills:

  • Work well under little supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and one-lines.
  • Experience in backup power generation.
  • Work well with customers and engineers on technical level of understanding and communication.
  • Aggressive follow through to bring in orders to meet sales goal.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment and able to meet deadlines under stress.
  • VFD and Electrical Motor knowledge a plus.

Energy Management Corporation has an opening for an Industrial Electrician. We are looking for an innovative, extremely detail-oriented, self-motivated, honest, and hardworking individual to join the team.

Salary Range: $27 - $38 Per Hour DOE

Duties and skills expected of the Industrial Electrician include but are not limited to:

  • Basic knowledge motors controls and VFDs.
  • Master licensee desired, journeyman licensee ok
  • Knowledge of NEC rules and requirements
  • Plan and coordinate activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems
  • Applicants will have strong electrical or electronic background, able to read schematics, mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and computer literate.
  • Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Answer technical questions and provide high level of support for the sales department.
  • Provide quotations for customers on the repair job.
  • Interact with customers over phone to provide answers to technical questions.
  • Keep workspace clean and organized.

Directly Reports To: Service Center Manager

Salary Range: $28 to $35 Per hour DOE

Essential Duties: Repairs special and standard AC and DC electro-mechanical equipment.

Summary: Is sufficient in repairing numerous AC and DC electro-mechanical equipment and is able to work with a variety of testing tools.

Responsibilities: The following list contains key responsibilities; additional work may be assigned by your manager.

  • Follows relevant work instructions and customer standards.
  • Operates specialized repair and testing equipment.
  • Carries out dynamic balance of rotor and armature assemblies as well as replaces/repairs mechanical parts (e.g. brushes, gears, seals, etc.).
  • Regularly diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Proficient in level 1+ vibration analysis.
  • Procures special parts per material request form.
  • Oversees that all completed work in their designated area meets EMC quality requirements.
  • Operates Overhead cranes and Medium voltage test panel.
  • Accurately records time on jobs and documents and applies critical information.
  • Completes paperwork accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Operate Fork Trucks (certified); Quality System/Safety Policy trained.
  • Observes all safety procedures and uses proper protective gear.
  • Lifts, tightens, adjusts and/or secures heavy objects in order to perform work duties.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean.
  • Provides assistance and on-the-job training for Technician Assistants and all Mechanics.
  • Continually looks for ways to streamline and improve processes.

Qualifications: Preferred minimum level of education: High school diploma, plus two years of experience in repairing electro-mechanical equipment. Other key skills include:

  • Intermediate mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
  • Understands motor components and has a basic grasp on electrical theory.

Directly Reports To: Service Center Manager Salary Range: $20 to $34 Per Hour DOE Essential Duties: Rewinds special and standard AC and DC electro-mechanical equipment; helps oversee the quality of work completed within their area. Summary: Performs preparation work and assists in rewinding various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment as directed by supervisor or Director. Cleans, properly runs basic tools, and is able to lift various objects/items. Energy Management Corporation (EMC) is seeking a Senior Generator Technician in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are a 42-year-old and growing industrial automation company that sells and services electric motors, drives, and generators. The Senior Generator Technician will provide leadership to Junior Technicians.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35.00 - $48.07 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Service, repair, modify, diagnose and rebuild standby power generators.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on natural gas and/or diesel generators.
  • Preform failure analysis, emergency field service for customers.
  • Perform start-ups on new equipment.
  • Process required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for communicating repairs needed to both the customer and service manager.
  • Operate, drive and maintain company service truck and parts inventory on truck.
  • Furnish current required tools.
  • Willing to participate in the rotating responsibility of afterhours on-call-technician.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver license
  • Willing to travel sometimes over night or over a weekend
  • Basic understanding of company provided computer, tablet, cell phone
